Problem Statement

There are some teething problems persisting for those who wish to pursue professional courses beyond HS(+2). They are:

1. Many students or their parents do not know details of professional courses available after HS(+2) and means of pursuing those courses. Even if they are financially capable of pursuing the professional courses, lack of information prevents them from pursuing suitable professional courses.

2. Another problem faced by those who are seeking professional courses through Tripura Joint Entrance Examination is that the students and their guardians are poorly informed about the colleges where our students are going for professional courses, such as Engineering, Medicine or Architecture.

3. At present many students come out of Tripura after HS(+2) to pursue professional courses. The most common destination for them is Karnataka, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu etc. However, most of these students or their parents have a little or no information about the colleges where quality education is available.

In all the above cases, lack of information is main cause of the problem.
Further, there are numerous instances where meritorious students coming from weaker financial background could not pursue education due to poor financial support. A little help could have made huge differences in their future. Further there are several instances where lack of financial support have prevented excellent students from pursuing professional courses in or outside Tripura.
